Lega Release Notes - July 12 2025
We're pleased to share our latest platform updates that enhance your AI application capabilities and improve overall system performance. This release focuses on expanding knowledge integration options while maintaining the security and reliability standards essential for professional use.

Our July release introduces Enhanced Knowledge Sources with RAG, updates the Document Manager with new capabilities, and includes additional platform updates that improve performance, user experience, and system reliability.
What is RAG?
RAG stands for Retrieval-Augmented Generation. Think of it as giving your AI assistant access to a specific library of documents that you choose. When you enable RAG by assigning a knowledge source to your app, those documents become available for the AI to reference automatically. Instead of the AI only using its general training knowledge, it can search through your assigned documents to provide more accurate, relevant responses based on your specific content.
New - Enhanced Knowledge Sources with RAG
Ground app responses in your own trusted documents
Key Features:
- No-code alternative to current Azure RAG support, fully managed securely within your Lega instance
- Automatically enable RAG by simply adding a knowledge source to your app
- App and model responses include dynamic citations to source documents and sections
- Document indexing through secure Azure services, included in your current Lega subscription
- Advanced configuration (preview) to fine-tune indexing and retrieval
Availability:
Enhanced Knowledge Sources with RAG is included for all Lega users in this release and will support up to 50 documents per knowledge source.
Additional Enterprise Tier RAG capabilities are planned for future releases, including:
- Advanced customization of RAG pipeline - parsing, chunking, embedding, and more
- Structured data sources and 3rd party integrations
- Large document sets
As we continue developing our vision of the Enterprise Tier-specific advanced features, we look forward to gathering input at the next customer advisory board meeting (to be scheduled soon).
Other Platform Enhancements and Updates
Document Manager
Access and organize all your knowledge sources across applications
Key Features:
- Users can now access all available document knowledge sources across apps using Document Manager based on permissions
- Users and creators can continue selecting individual documents to upload to ad-hoc conversations, or can embed directly in their prompt templates using document parameters for specific use cases
- The same document knowledge sources can also be used for RAG, making all documents in the knowledge source available to select apps and conversations automatically
Other Changes
- Knowledge sources can now be secured to individual groups and users.
- Prompt Editor enhancements, including drag-and-drop parameter reordering, better input handling, and improved copy/paste functionality
- Admins can now export audit log data within specified date ranges with updated detail within conversation thread.
- Watchlist Scanner has been improved with configurable options.
- UX and performance updates including improved data handling, caching, and streamlined navigation
- Security & stability – infrastructure updates and critical fixes to maintain "zero vulnerability" status
