Legal Role Definitions
Lega has five user types, which are defined below.
User: Users are granted access to the Lega homepage and any applications specifically permissioned to them. Upon logging in, they will see the homepage and Explore sections of the platform, which includes the Lega Sandbox (where they can test different models and settings side-by-side to determine the ideal setup for a particular app) and Prompt and App Libraries (where they can explore the different prompts and apps available to them). By default, all users are assigned this role upon login, unless they are assigned a different role through your internal directory (e.g., Microsoft Entra, Okta) or via the User Management function in the Admin Center.
Creator: Creators are granted access to everything the User has access to as well as the Create section. Upon logging in, they will see the homepage, Explore, and Create sections of the platform and any applications specifically permissioned to them. The Create section of the platform includes the Lega Lab and Resource Library, where Creators have the added ability to create, edit, and assign apps and prompts to other Users. They can use any deployed model or knowledge source made available by Security Admins to create apps, but do not have the ability to edit or create new deployments or knowledge sources.
Policy Admin: Policy Admins are granted access to everything the User has access to as well as the Policy Center. Upon logging in, they will see the homepage, Explore and Manage sections of the platform and any applications specifically permissioned to them. Policy Admins have the added ability of adding, editing, and managing policies (e.g. Compliance Scans and Checkpoints, Watchlist, etc.) and access to Insight Reports and Audit Logs.
Security Admin: Security Admins are granted access to everything the User has access to as well as the Admin Center. Upon logging in, they will see the homepage, Explore and Manage sections of the platform and any applications specifically permissioned to them. Security Admins have the added ability of adding, editing, and managing your providers, models, knowledge sources, users, and groups.
System Admin: System Admins are granted access to the entire platform. Upon logging in, they will see the homepage, Explore, Create, and Manage sections of the platform. They can see all apps and prompts saved by any user. System Admins have the highest level of access in the Lega platform, so we advise you assign this role sparingly.
