How to Locate Your Resource Name, Deployment Name and API Key In Azure OpenAI

The Playground for the relevant Azure OpenAI resource in Azure AI Studio is the easiest place to obtain both your Resource name and Deployment name. Please note that the following outlines how to access the information that way, but there are other methods for obtaining the information.

1. Log into Azure OpenAI and go to Azure AI Studio.

2. Click on Deployments on the left-hand side.

   

   
   

3. Click into the relevant Deployment.

   

   
   

4. Click Open in Playground at the top.

   

   
   

5. Click View Code.

   

   
   

6. This is where you'll find your Resource Group and API Key.

   
   

   Resource Group: Can be found within your endpoint. It's the text before .openai.azure.com... minus the https://. For example the Resource Group in the screen shot below is lega-aoai-gpt4

   
   

   API Key: Can be found below your endpoint and can be view and/or copied from here.
